l'Arc-en-Ciel sweet potato planting

In April 2016, l'Arc-en-Ciel (The Rainbow House) orphanage in Haiti planted 2,000 sweet potato slips. In growing the nutritious and income-generating tubers, the orphanage was also supported by the University of Fondwa School of Agriculture in Haiti which provided soil treatment support.

This initiative is so critical for the orphanage and its children, as it has been reported that Haiti is facing the worst food crisis in 15 years and government food support has dried up.

The harvest of multiple varieties favorable in Haiti is now underway and food items are being created.

About L'Arc-en-Ciel Orphanage -- Wonderful People Who Could Use Your Support!

La Maison l'Arc-en-Ciel, Haiti, is an NGO, founded December 1, 1996, which is taking care of vulnerable HIV infected and affected children in Haiti. For long-term sustainability, the orphanage has been engaging in major income generating projects, including agriculture, a hen house, farm animals, goats, bees for honey and other innovative projects.  Still, the organization  could use financial support and partnership as it continues its vital mission. GIFT encourages you to learn more about and prayerfully consider supporting this wonderful ministry.   (www.maisonlarcenciel.org
